Sure he committed treason — didn’t he negotiate with a foreign government while he was a private citizen? — ooops, no, that was Nixon — well then, didn’t he bomb a foreign country with which the US was not at war without Congressional approval? — oops, that was Nixon, again — well then, didn’t he trade arms with Iran and use the money to support the contras in direct violation of US law? — oops, not Nixon this time, but Reagan.
