At least they’re spending their Sunday afternoon out and about. :-|Of course the pointillism of this cartoon is to spoof our new world of on-line interactiveness. The Global l’Île de la Grande Jatte. We’re all connected and more alone than ever. And probably indoors.Say, Omq, where are you right now? I say, I don’t have an anti-glare screen capable of being read outdoors. There should be more advances in screen technology so we can take more of our devices with us! [Once in a museum I actually overheard someone pronounce (very loudly) Georges surname as “sewer rat”. I don’t speak French, just how is it pronounced?]

What’s spooky is the accuracy. Kids especially are hooked on the screens, and miss the real world. Watched a young girl in New Zealand oblivious to the beauty around her as she played a game. Resource agencies are all scrambling to find ways to keep folks interested in the outdoors, with on line programs.

is that a monkey near her bustle? is that her minkey? does she have a lysance for that minkey?
