    p&p, it’s possible that a Russian MD actually does lack the credentials to work in the American medical system. His/her education in medical theory would likely be sound, but the ability to use all of our technological and pharmacological advances might be seriously lacking.

    I knew a woman who was a licensed veterinarian in Moscow who came to the U.S. and was dumbfounded by all of the machinery and medicine that U.S. vets are expected to be familiar with. She was able to get a job as a lab assistant here, but the chances of her ever getting a DVM degree and being able to practice were slim.

    Ah, I’ll try to remember that. Like “a Peach in the Land of Pears”? Similar to “Onionpatch Petunia?”

    My first thought was of a tastefully muted color scheme, iridescent white and reddish-gold.
