Claire’s advice is a disaster waiting to happen. She’s going to lose her place when the restaurant closes.

Expanding the menu is fine, but not to non-Italian items at an Italian restaurant!

Meh. Fusions are trendy. As long as you keep the core items that current customers come for, I don’t see why branching out to the neighbor’s tastes would be a bad thing. You could call it Mediterranean food & bring in Greek & Turkish flavours to hit the middle eastern crowd. Or keep Italian and just modify it. American = spaghetti with meat sauce. Vegetarian = spaghetti with marinara. Middle eastern. = spaghetti with halal meat & tone down the pork if not eliminate it from your menu (not a bit Italian meat anyhow).

Start a twitter feed and announce daily specials. Just don’t go crazy.

    Keep the core Italian menu.

Twitter us a great way to promote a small business. I don’t tweet but I would if I had something like that to promote

It’s nice to see she got a smile out of Papa after all times they’ve had conflict. If it brings the family together I’m sure he’ll be glad even if he takes a monetary hit.
