Enlarged image of Woman Peeling Apple available from here (click the image; the new window has various enlargement choices). This 14.3″ × 12.1″ painting is also titled Woman Peeling Apples (different coloration, and another), Lady Peeling An Apple (different coloration), and The Apple Peeler (claims to have the most accurate colors, slightly different in this click-to-enlarge detail image). I included the different titles to show a sample of the different colorations of this painting available on the internet, besides the one used here. I have no idea which is more accurate. This discusses several (perhaps all) works by the artist; but while this one is included (with yet again a different coloration), there are no accompanying words. Some say the artist’s surname is ter Borch, while others say it’s Terborch. This is really getting frustrating and time consuming. So far, 9 works by this artist have appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog.

@Gatocat – I LOVE it! “The pun is the lowest form of humor” – but when it’s that good, who cares??
