Q: What’s the difference between Candorville and Rudy Park? A: Theron Heir. Candorville’s fun (well, this week’s strips are in poor taste, I think) but Rudy Park is GREAT.
Vernon ~ I think there’s some more thought that has to go into this before it gets the “Candorville” treatment. Does “standing your ground” involve the right to chase someone and “stand his ground?” I think CV made the correct point that “standing your ground” only applies to the killer, not the victim and if that’s the only point made, then YAY! Darrin!
I know times are tough for my favourite art form. The Washington Post is cutting back on comics they don’t syndicate and a lot of good ones are passed by. Keith Knight has complained about the market. The author of Bob the Squirrel was contemplating quitting at the end of last year. The Elderberries just finished their run. My poor memory can’t cough up the name of a strip about a schoolroom nor another coffee house strip that ended a while ago. I think Yenny ended recently.
I will miss Rudy Park, if it vanishes. I keep hoping Garfield will jump up and yell “TAKE ME INSTEAD”… But no. :(
And if the strip DOES end, before this forum goes away I want to thank Theron and Darrin for sharing their talents. I’d like to (virtually) shake their hands. I’d offer a hug, but I have a cold. :)
Wha…Tharrin and Deron are breaking up? Say it isn’t so! What about Candorville? Will the Rudy Park characters continue to cross over? That would be a nice way to keep them alive.
