Knew folks who were missionaries in Africa and South America, also Peace Corps in Ecuador, Chile, and Morocco, not exactly the “sacrifice” of Mitt in Paris. (Oh, right, the challenge of spending time there and not drinking the wine! REAL sacrifice!!)

The cartoonist is showing his age. Maynard G. Krebs? From the old Dobie Gillis show? Haven’t seen that since I was a kid.

what are you? stupid? seriously? My wife and I are well below poverty, as I’m a full time student, and we don’t qualify for ANY kind of welfare! This stupid idea that such a HUGE amount of people are on the public dole is really getting old! and as for work? It took my wife 18 months to find full time employment after losing her last job, it took me a YEAR to find full time employment after losing MY last full time job! And DON"T you F’ ing DARE try to tell me that McDonalds is always hiring because THEY"RE NOT!

“Why should I work for my money when the Government will pay me to do nothing?”In what world are the unemployed making so much on unemployment they didn’t need to work. When I was unemployed, I made $159.00 a week. I couldn’t afford a tool shed to live in on that money. Let alone food, showring, clothes. That money got my ass out there and got me a job before I had to pitch a tent in the park.
