My mom used to do the same when she was in her upper 50’s. I eventually convinced her that she looked rediculous. When my Mom died one of my aunts showed up up with the same red hair she’d been sporting for years and she was a few years older than my then 79-year old mother.
GROG: My mother-in-law went gray (but tried to reduce it some) and died at 92. Her older sisters kept their black hair (mixed with enough gray to prove it wasn’t dyed) and died at 103 and 109. My wife is following their example.
My mom never colored her hair, she could care less and soon in April be 87. She does roll her hair since a kid. Me I tried for a long time to color to tone down the grey but the grey has won. Not working have no reason.
