T_Lexi, in case you still see this…. the easiest way:
While holding down the alt key, type 13 on the numeric keypad, NOT on the numbers above the letters.
When you release the alt key, you should see ♪
holding the alt key and typing the number 14 makes ♫.
WARNING: every now and then, for no reason I can determine, typing alt 14 makes the browser flip back to the previous page and lose your comment.
Every time I’m about to use it, I first type control A (ctrl key and A together) Control C, which will highlight and copy your post.
If you lose it, you can just re-open the forum and type CTRL V in the comment box to paste it back. You can also get notes and other symbols by using Character Map in Windows, or by copying and pasting (as I described above) from many online sources for alt codes.Just Google alt characters or special characters. Not all from Char map or charts work everywhere. If anything is unclear or you’re on a laptop and don’t know how to find the numeric keypad, feel free to ask…. but remember, I usually answer late, so be sure to check back.
