The only place I ever saw the Beetle Bailey cartoons was at the movies. Can’t ever remember them on the tube. I do remember the theme song though. “Beetle Bailey”!
She has good tastes in TV viewing. I used to read the BB comic strips and thought they were funny. Then, I joined the Army (3yrs -Cold War) and found out just how realistic he was. At Ft. Gordon there was a sp-4 MM that was so unmotivated that he made BB look like a workaholic! Wondered how he ever made it to E-4, then later learned that everything at that time was right place – right time.
Anyone else remember the BB Movie cartoons? In one Beetle and Sarge go into a fancy restaurant in town, and Sarge orders SOS. Waiter: “What’s SOS?”Sarge: “Well, you start with 2 pieces of burned toast——-”
I recall watching Beetle Bailey cartoons in the mid 60s. If you’re from the Pittsburgh region, can you remember Paul Shannon’s Adventuretime? There was some good stuff on there: The Three Stooges, The Little Rascals, Kimba, Snuffy Smith, etc.

I don’t remember the Beetle Bailey theme, but I do remember the Snuffy Smith one – “Oh oh oh great balls of fire, I’m bodacious ……….”

I wish my kids did not want to watch “repeats”. I can almost recite entire episodes of their shows of choice.

Beetle Bailey also had a radio show in the early ’50s, as did other comic strips, like Prince Valiant, Archie, and Blondie.

Nancy even had a few short on TV during the early ’70s.
