I remember the days of ear corn in the crib, and taking an extra pair of shoelaces (along with a scoop shovel) when one went into the crib to shovel corn. The shoe laces were to tie around the pants legs to prevent mice from running up the pants legs!Ladies in full skirts – don’t even think of going into a corn crib!
