In always amazed me they could get the Lassie (the male) to run across a field without stopping to smell – and water – everything in sight.
The dogs in my neighborhood must go to primal scream therapy because they can yap incessantly.

They used a different Lassie in all the scenes. But won’t you agree, when it showed Lassie and her puppies, wasn’t that a female?
No one was Rin Tin Tin? or the Littlest Hobo? (up to 17 dogs were used for Hobo).
