Aww, poor Farley! He’s more cuddly teddy bear than guard dog.

What a whiner…..lol I love Farley

Hopefully, the bark and the size will scare people away!

our dog would help the intruder carry all the stuff out if he had a snack in his pocket. lol Not all dogs are meant to be guard dogs, some of them are just for snuggling with and loving.

We have a miniature long haired doxie. On a winter day, with the windows closed, he can hear someone walking down the other side of the street, and will always let us know. If someone were to try and break in through a window in the summer he will be left with a stump at the knee. Our little guy IS the biggest dog on the block.

C’mon…man up Farley!

Farley won’t be much help. I don’t see any teeth in there.

And BCduke….that’s__left with a stump at the ankle.

Thumping tree branches. Our dogs would be barking if someone was around.

We always thought our Saint Bernards would welcome anyone in the house for petting. Then my parents came one day to a broken window – the glass was outside but the screen was put back and there was blood all around the window. The dogs weren’t hurt and the thefts in the neighbor stopped.

Ellie has obviously never lived alone before. Sleeplessness, panic at any small noise, thinking the dog will protect you when all you’re doing is scaring the bejeebers out of it…Amateur.

I’ve always thought the best part of this strip is that dog. Especially the expressions on his face sometimes.

Give him a lightsaber, Elle. Then you’ll see some action!

We had a dog that was a lab husky mix. When he heard any noises outside, he howled like a coyote!

i have a 67lb boxer who does this exactly. when he gets scared he comes running to me to protect HIM

I had a dog like that, would make a lot of noise from under whatever he could crawl under.

Farley will show his true courage later in the story, when he saves April.

Farley will more than make up for this later in his life.

A dog that barks gets old after a while, especially when you have three of them like we do.
