Is it me or does Elizabeth and Christopher look like they could be fraternal twins?

I really HATE this series! If this was real life, I wonder just how PO’d Ellen and friend would be to find THEMSELVES the subject of salacious gossip? Stereotypical gossiping stay-at-home suburban wives with nothing better to do with their time.

Unfortunately, gossip is just as mindless as most TV shows.

@teddyr, if you hate this series, then why do you read it? It is a COMIC. It is fiction written/drawn for the sole purpose of entertainment. These are NOT real people! It is also sad that you have such a warped sense of what stay-at-home moms really do. Maybe you are watching too many episodes of “Desperate Housewives.” A stay-at-home mom who does her job well works harder with WAY longer hours than many of her employed, childless friends. Raising children can be physically and mentally draining, but the dividend is priceless!

@teddyr: Unfortunately, gossip isn’t just stereotypical of “stay-at-home suburban housewives with nothing better to do with their time.” It’s sad, but it’s everywhere…and not just women, either. Spend some time at just about any workplace, and you’ll see!

How would the kid ever learn to say please when his Mother is gossiping like a 15 year old! Apparently mom favours implimenting the “Do as I say, not as I do” teaching protocol.

I had to laugh at Lynn’s comment on this strip:

“Here’s another example of how to bring readers up to date with a few underlying story arcs. In the first panel, you catch up with what’s going on in two relationships and still get a kid-fuelled smart remark as a punch line. I loved this ploy!”

Wouldn’t Mike be old enough to get a drink himself and help his sister and Christopher get one?

It’s a bad sign, Elly. Your son watches too much TV. Get your kids some books to read or look at.
