I wonder where Burl got his fast watch. I want one. I used to want fast wimmen, but then I wondered what would happen if I got one and switched to watches and cars.

    Goo morning all.

Mornin’ Leaky, Marg, Radish and Mikie — and the rest of Crustwood….

Radish I think you’re right.Or else his watch is so fast just because it’s trying to run away from him.Run, watch, run. As fast as your little hands can can carry you.Time for a second chance!

Leaky I just looked again in that forum. Dogsniff’s comment back to you made me remember your post.

It didn’t offend me — but then, little does, obviously, considering the posts I make myself.

GoComics seems a more “adult” site than Comics.com, which had stupid nannybots to censor everything.

I can tell you, though, that in the last couple of days, I’ve seen two people admonishing others about their supposed language.

Plus I had a totally innocuous comment removed the other day myself.

I’m wondering whether we have some silly do-gooders on the loose, complaining to GoComics.

The Night THEY THEY Forgot Christmas? Sounds like a production by The Department of Redudancy Department.

The dunce hat is in a very appropriate place!

I wouldn’t have expected him to get a Rolex, but I haven’t had a Timex in years.

Leaky, my Dad once had one of those pictures. My Mom eventually got rid of it on one of our moves.

sign of the times: a nearby restaurant owner gave all his employees very nice watches for xmas. every pawn shop around here has about a half dozen of them now. i quit wearing a watch about 10 years ago: cell phone is lots more accurate, and won’t break your wrist out….

I have been known to scold some for really nasty language (especially involving characters in a strip) but I have not done any of that is recent weeks because nothing I’ve seen is that bad.

    Hey, I wear a Timex.

Not elegant, I’m sure, but they keep good time and last several years, even though I’m always noticing mine is still on my wrist in the shower, and going “Oooops!”

    And I can afford them.

My cell phone might be in my pocket or purse or in another room charging.

I have other time displays, but I might not be sitting at my computer, and the microwave, coffeepot, and VCR (yes some of us still have those, too) are all inaccurate.

I admit I’m a daydreamer, with only a loose handle on time, so I need a reminder right there on my wrist.

I am home most of the time and many items have the time (oven, micro, land phones, PC, and TV equipment) so I have no cell phones or working watches (other than a few old windup Seikos I inheirited). While my mom was living under my care, a nurse’s aid stole my 14K watch (a multi jewel windup Lady Hamilton from HS graduation) that I had paid in my early working days to install in a housing and band of florentined gold (hinged rose flower and extended leaf as a band). It was stolen with some heavy charm braclets of Moms and will probably never be seen again.

Many, many years ago, ruturning from a trip to Las Vegas, while on the plane I realized I had left a small beige case on the middle of my bed. In that case I had about 14k worth of jewelry. A gold ring that had a $10.00 gold piece surrounded by 13 small dias that represented the 13 original colonies. A white gold ring with 3 baguette dias.and a couple of other pieces. When I got home, I called up security………long story short, My jewelery was mailed back to me!!! They DO have good honest people out there. I was just fortunate to find one of them.

So what is wrong with a Timex watch? Hmm?

Gee, I’m sorry I missed the hub bub over Leaky’s comment, but I’m sure it wasn’t that bad, go figure the mindset here sometimes! :-0
