    FYI real eugenics is not about “purity.” It is about the perfect mix. Like how one set of a certain gene grants immunity to malaria, but two cause sickle cell.

    Since the 14th ammendment says “All persons BORN or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside”. Thats one of the reasons Roe v Wade went the way it did.

    ^valid point, churchie, and it reflects on almost all proposed legislation to date in this same “respect”. Article Six and the First Amendment are important to the issue, not just 14th Amendment.

    MORALITY is a non-issue here.

    Here is what I said: “I would $ support (detubing)” If someone has an abortion. They don’t have to pay for the cutting. …

    Also, If you want my Tax $, there is a condition for getting $- no more children. In this age of contraception- these females behave like they are brain-dead. There is No Reason I see to give taxpayer $ to this kind of behavior. Now, if private people want to step-up…Go For It.

    … when does the BABY get a choice? Then, ask yourself this question: At what point – between conception and their 18th birthday – does the ‘fetus’ become a human being?

    See? The problem lies with the people who want rules for everyone but themselves.

    “Since when is protecting the rights of the unborn NOT a responsibility of government?”So many people think it’s not the government’s responsibility to care about children after their born. Why should it care about them before then?

    The government’s only responsibility is to protect the citizens from foreign invasion. What is growing in a woman’s body is her responsibility.

    I note that when some folks beat the drum to outlaw abortions and such, none of them step up to support the resulting children. And I include the Catholic Church.
