Gene nervously walks over to the breafast table. He has knicks from shaving. Arlo doesn't notice as he reads the paper. Arlo notices Gene and is a bit shocked. Arlo returns to the paper. Janis walks over, and when she sees Gene, she screams.

Learning to shave used to be tricky. A single double edged blade, could nick you easily.
However, in 1997 who had those? In any event, dad knows, mom has no idea.
