It’s taken 25 years to build that anchor under Republican policies, written into regulations, not just “law”, and the corner comment is 100% correct. Tom Friedman, has some good points in his latest book, but because even he says more revenue (taxes) is mandatory part of a solution, not just cuts, he will be ignored by the right in Congress.
The ultimate absurdity is Boehner declaring it is the Democrats with the “all or nothing” attitude, purely idiotic and playing to the simpletons in his “crowd”.
