Perhaps they’ll decide to skip 2012 and prep for 2016 …

So, no chance of Jon “that other Mormon, the sane one” Huntsman making the ticket?

Pity. He’s about the only Republican I’d consider.

And the song he’s singing is the Lovin’ Spoonful’s, ’Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind?"

Very good Pat! It’s either opera or kabuki. Either way it’s theater that has been scripted and acted out.

Pat overlooked Herman Cain (or Herb, as Palin referred to him the other day), who seems to be the current GOP FROTW after winning the Florida straw poll. We’ll see how long that lasts.

why not ? It’s not like Jon Huntsman is a polygamist right ? If we are gonna blame him for the actions of people of his religion or parts of his Religion he doesn’t personally follow, I imagine no Catholic would get elected (something about the alter boy scandal or if you go far back enough the crusades come to mind).

Sceptic Cal: Well, Reagan did it – on the installment plan. And a whole bunch seem to have had mistresses – so many that some historians a decade ago said the only ones they were certain didn’t were John Adams, Truman, and Carter.

@jack75287 – it just so happens that the effect of these laws is focused on typically Democratic leaning constituencies (of course). In Wisconsin, they actually tried to cut funding/hours to voter registration centers (in DMVs) in Democratic districts, while expanding it in Republican districts. I’ve read it didn’t pass. But this is typical GOP tactics – they’re terrified that the “wrong” people might actually vote.

the general consensus of opinion in my (mostly gop) neighborhood is almost like it was in 2008: why bother getting up when there’s noone to go and vote for?

Funny how liberals don’t like things like making fun of fat people — until it serves for a cheap laugh for one of them.

Well, they are voter suppression. There has been no voter fraud (though Bush fired a bunch of attorneys who failed to find it, turns out he’s bad at finding things that aren’t there). Colorado’s Republican secretary of state just instructed the county clerks to NOT send ballots to voters who didn’t vote last time in 2010, as a way of suppressing the vote in Denver and Pueblo. My grown kids got caught in that trap, so there’s an actual case of Republican voter suppression for you.

That’s it lets make fun of a person because of their weight and not over their ability to govern.
