Me too re googling Koozies. Comics have been one of my primary sources of second language learning (French is my first language)….Words and expressions are introduced in context, and in a format that makes recall easier.

BTW, I have just discovered this ‘strip’. It’s one of the best I’ve encountered to date! It’s hilarious. I look forward to reading all the pasts jokes…

About words like koozies : The problem with learning a word that few others know is you can’t really use it!

I remember a Far Side comic like this except the comment was: Man these are great … soft and chewy on the outside and crunchy on the inside!!

Do you people know how to back paddle? Do you think the reptiles take the koozies off first or just eat them?

Did they use the paddles as toothpicks? :)

This is the ONLY place to come ashore on this river? Maybe there is a waterfall ahead. Senseless to try to apply logic to Argyle Sweater.

This completely threw me I’d never heard of koozies, but with a different spelling, the word is a very vulgar one, probably archaic now. In that context it not only didn’t make sense but made me wonder if the censors at the syndicate had fallen asleep on their watch.
