Again, still waiting for someone to point out which part of the 16 trillion dollars of debt the tea party created…

No, it’s all on the Republicans who threw up road blocks at every single point, making it their sole purpose to stop the Democrats from achieving anything. Their entire aim is to make Democrats look bad – and if that means destroying the country, they are willing and able. You don’t have to actually have a majority in congress to control things – which I’m sure you knew already.

The Dems ran the govt for TWO YEARS and didn’t do anything about our dept except spend more money. It’s ALL on them. And they’re doubling down! Great God Almighty how stupid can you be?

Yeah, let’s not blame the Republicans and Tea Baggers, Charlie. Let’s just pretend nothing bad happened, so they can do more of the same. Are you also against our criminal justice system?

The tea party proves the old axiom, if you give a monkey a razor eventually he’ll kill himself.

A house divided against itself cannot stand. To blame one political party for the mess we’re in is irrelevant. The time for passing blame is passed – now we have to fix the problem, however painful it may be.

Oblama, how clever…I always find it funny how everyone calls Obama a marxist/socialist/leftist, he’s clearly none of those things! Well, I guess with how far the tea party has pushed us to the right he might seem left of center, but honestly he’s more like your hero Reagan.

The deficit spending increased beginning in 2007 when the democrat-socialists took control of both houses of the legislative branch. When Obama came in (Jan. 2009), the deficit spending increased even more. That and Obama preaching class warfare is what caused the problem.

Hares, the Teapublicans elected Ronald Reagan, G.H.W. Bush, & voted for Bush-Dick twice. Thus, their hands are in $14 trillion of the current $16 trillion debt. The only president to decrease the debt was our last elected one, Bill Clinton. On the other hand, the cartoon is slightly mistaken. Bush-Dick and the Republican Congresses of 2001 to 2007 worked very hard to ruin America. The plutocrats who run the Republican Party and almost all of the media created the Tea Party when we finally had a legitimately elected president, Barack Obama. They used the media to foment racism & bigotry in the guise of fear of the federal debt & of higher taxes. The plutocrats want even lower taxes for themselves, and they care not what happens to the rest of the nation or to the federal debt as long as they continue to get richer from our government or by any means necessary.

Brian, to be fair, Reagan, 41, and 43 are only responsible for something over $12 trillion of the debt, that kept accumulating after “W” stepped down, but his polices continued. I DO blame Obama and the Democrats for allowing the “tax cuts” which are mostly “tax breaks” to continue. Then there are the wars.

Trout, I agree with you. President Obama should’ve ended Bush-Dick’s tax gift to the rich last year. He can end it next year, after he is re-elected.(Isn’t it great to watch us re-elect a president? We haven’t had that opportunity since 1996.)Everyone worried about the debt needs to see this chart: http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2011/05/the-chart-that-should-accompany-every-discussion-of-deficits/238786/.
