Luann by Greg Evans and Karen Evans for September 16, 1995
Transcript:
The DeGroot family is eating dinner. Frank asks, "Why the calculator, Luann? Math homework?" Luann replies, "Guess how many classes have with Aaron Hill this year- one! You know how many Tiffany has? Three?" Luann says, "I get 40 measly minutes with him. She gets 120! Plus she has lunch with him- another 30! So by the end of 180 school days, she and Aaron will have spent.. 18.75 days and together!!" Frank remarks, "Looks like you're taking a real interest in math, though.." Luann says, "Oh! And 12 minutes of locker time together each day.."

So it sounds like Luann won’t have to put up with Tiffany at lunch.

Take away the locker time. They’ll both be absent at least once.

40 minute classes? I used to teach at a school with 36 minute classes. We barely got done grading homework and answering questions before I was starting to run out of time to teach new material!
