^ Many native American communities are a case in point of the current welfare system of just helping them survive rather than a system designed to help lift themselves out of poverty.

No no no, Irish! Soc Sec never had a contractual basis. There hasn’t been anything but political pressure to back it up. Furthermore, lots of old-timers, myself included, have already taken out more than they put in. The country is in trouble, and no class, by age or otherwise, should refuse to sacrifice if they can do so. And, please, don’t anyone give me the tiresome crap about The Greatest Generation, my generation but nowadays more like the Greediest. Yes, the rich are undertaxed, but what has that got to do with Soc Sec?

^ In other words, he,s a real christian; socially progressive, conservatives when it comes to sex. The kind of christians that make the most sense to me, even though I don’t always agree with them.

Sure Obama is toast if he lets the seniors down, they are the only ones who bother to vote in this day and age!
