Here’s the thing. We have this HUGE ass debt. Now, the Cons want to fix it by not spending any more money. I agree that we need to cut spending, I just disagree on where. Regardless, just not spending isn’t going to pay what we owe. I can stop using my Visa card, but that doesn’t pay it off.In order to pay our debts, we need to make some money. A country’s primary way of making money is through taxation. Now, the Cons want to continue to DECREASE taxes on the rich and on corporations. This is like saying I’m going to pay my Visa bill by working LESS hours.Common sense will tell you that in order to pay the National Debt, we need to be collecting more taxes. Obviously the first place to look for more money is to the people who have the most of it to begin with. DUH!!The only logical conclusion that I reached through all of this is that our Government leaders have no real interest in resolving the problems of the American people. As long as their own pockets continue to be filled by the big business bosses, the rest of us can starve. When we talk about how corrupt the African nations are, the truth is, we’re looking in a mirror and we don’t even know it.

@ ChukLitl, If we really had representatives looking out for us, they wouldn’t pass job killing trade bills.

@ Matt Wuerker, This ’toon was inspired. Thanks for putting a smile on a “Satan Sandwich”
