I had something like this happen to me. I interviewed with somebody who liked me and hired me. Between the interview date and the start date, the guy who hired me hot promoted and his underling, who didn’t want to hire me, made my working life miserable. I hung on for three months, then gave up. I should have killled him.
The same thing happened to my husband last year. Only he was hired one day and told he wasn’t hired the next. Apparently two people had hired somebody and my husband turned out to be the loser in that case. So not funny.
