An ad for a mum should read "needed: hardworking female, can multitask, should never complain, is smart, has eyes on back of head.. will work for cash!
Nothing wrong with volunteer work. People will read her work and it could lead to something that pays. And even if not, her husband can support the family! He’s a professional!
She has a roof over her head, food on the table, a car, spending money, her kids are not living in a box in an alley, and she has free time. How does she figure she is not being compensated?
I can so relate to this, 100%, this is EXACTLY where I am, except I haven’t found the volunteer job yet (figure I will do one for the church and/or the school). And Lynn’s commentary about being so desperate to see adults, you go to a shop or drive-thru so you can talk to one, yup. I do it ALL the time.
My wife never worked outside the house one day in over 30 years. She raised two kids, kept the house clean, cooked my meals, etc. She admits she enjoyed her job in the house and never desired to get a job.
My job supports us well, but she enjoyed her job at home more than I ever did on my job. Sure it had its perks, but the stress and demands were there too. I was always glad to get home to her and I hot supper.
I am a grandpa of 11, when the frist one came along I was able to be there to watch him at about 15 months, had to work when my kids were growing. when I followed the little guy around for several hours, to make sure he was able to explore to his hearts content, but to also make sure that when he was exploring he did not hurt himself. I found out it is hard work just to watch the one guy. Now we have four childern, I do not know how my wife was able to do all the work of raising, feeding etc. She still helps out with the grandkids. Lets hope this couple can stay together and see there grandkids. by the way, just completd our 50 years together.
A recent Hagar the Horrible: Hogar is talking to a friend that says many women are working outside the home. Hagar replies— no wife of mine will ever work! In the background is his wife, chopping wood, doing laundry, cooking —etc—
Isn’t that the truth! Maybe this time around people will actually notice and appreciate everything she does (unlike the ungrateful, whiny people she “works” for now)!
