So what you’re saying, Opal, is “What’s in this for me?”

The cat’s name is Muffin. Our cat was more of the type, “Oh, someone’s here to scratch me.” What cat owner hasn’t had the cat pull down the newspaper they’re reading, then lay on it and look at them as if to say, “I’m here.” They do feel like the world revolves around them.

@John abrams…..not nice to hate. You can dislike something but don’t hate it especially if you don’t understand it. Cats make great pets…they are very low maintenance and give a lot of love.

Why are we here? -good question grandma. God has a wonderful purpose for the earth and for mankind. He “did not create [the earth] simply for nothing” but “formed it even to be inhabited. It is Jehovah’s purpose to have a perfect human family dwell on earth eternally. God’s Word says: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” (Psalm 37:29) Yes, humankind was meant to enjoy everlasting life in Paradise on earth.

Whenever I am watching nature shows and a big cat comes on I point to the TV and say “Look, it’s one of your cousins!”Followed by a blank look from the cat.

Sigh… another overplayed strip slamming cats and the usual comments from the ones who hate cats. Yes, there are annoying cats, the same as there are annoying dogs. While I like both in their own way, why are cats the only ones that people feel comfortable hating? And yes, that is a harsh word about something that hasn’t done much more than eat the food you give it and maybe hasn’t bowed down enough to you in gratitude. Sounds like a teenager to me, and yet you don’t hate teenagers.

Remembering that cats are not pets, they are coowners.

The problem with cats is that they’re just entirely too much like humans. Like little, furry people. They, more than most animals, tend to treat you just like you treat them. Act like they’re special, and they are very affectionate. Act like they’re nothing special, and that’s exactly how they will treat you.I like all my friends to have a mind of their own, whether they are furry or not!

Some people are ‘dog people’ and some people are ‘cat people’. It has been said that ‘dog people’ are takers and ‘cat people’ are givers because dogs give unconditional love and cat’s are very particular about who they give allegiance to.

Egotists hate cats, who they can’t control, tend to love dogs, who they can.

Opal needs to read the “Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren. Wouldn’t that be interesting for a comic to get that serious about life that it could talk about God some?
