They used to serve tuna melts at my high school cafeteria. So this is a little fishy to me.

the queen is definitely not made of M&M’s. They would never melt in anything but your mouth..

Sitting in an airplane on the tarmac in Albania for three hours at 44 is not cool… At least they left the doors open for us.

Last summer during the last heat wave the AC broke to the tune of $7000. Need I say what Mother Nature did two days later. SHE did enjoy the installer flirting with her at $80/hour.

Even my oven is calibrated in Celsius. My scale is in kilos as well – it doesn’t seem as bad that way.

Glad the US never went thru with the change over. I have to use a cenversion calculator (keep on my desktop). The only thing I have metric is the scale on my kitchen counter; I use for my little bird 304-312 gms as well as for cooking. Much more accurate for very small things.

The problem with metric is the people who try to convert. Why bother? Who knows what a pound feels like— it’s about THAT much. Well, a kilo is the weight of a liter bottle of water. A meter is about yay long. You do have to get used to temps, since everyone using degrees F knows the difference between 78 and 68, but has to learn 24C and 17C (double and add 30 rule).
