Barry, if you continue to act like this, don’t expect to be invited to the Christmas party. Christmas? It is a Christian holiday, not something you would know or care about.
Gimme a break. Anyone know how many times we’ve gone into combat without Congressional declaration of war? Here’s a hint: Congress has declared war exactly five times: The War of 1812, the Mexican War, the Spanish-American War, WWI, and WWII. Both parties’ presidents have put troops into combat without Congressional declaration: Gulf War I, Bosnia, Libya, Panama, Somalia, Kosovo, Granada…
Actually, jmattadams, I’ve said repeatedly that it was past time to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and that I am not pleased with Obama delaying it. Libya is just added to it. But the irony of the GOP putting on their moralist hat to say that Obama has violated the War Powers Act is simply absurd. If they had said ONE SINGLE WORD when Bush had gone into Iraq, I might have a different reaction to this cartoon. It just shows again how the GOP manages to dominate the media.
