Interestingly, Calvin’s dad is wrong, or rather, right for the wrong reasons. Winter doesn’t occur because the Earth is further from the Sun. Yeah, I think it’s because Earth’s axis is tilted with respect to the sun, or something like that. I’m an astronomy student.
