Been through a couple of web services that would compare your selected password to a dictionary and complain if anything in the password resembled anything in the dictionary. They might as well save us the hassle of coming up with something totally random, and instead create totally random text-and-number strings that match their criteria, and offer those to the users.
I picked the name of my daughters favourite toy then added the number 1. I have to change my work password every 6 weeks so I keep the same word but change the number.
You have to jump through more password “hoops” on some of these sites (say, to download a file, or leave a movie review) than you do to log onto your bank account!

It’s called symbol/letter substitution. Zero for O. One for I or L. And so forth.

Picking a word from an ancient language rarely used outside Academia works also.
