The world is always changing. Your childhood was different from your parents. Don’t blame the kids for living in the world we adults created. Did Mom have a choice about cooking that dinner or was being a housewife the only option? Did she get to continue her education if she wanted to or was getting married out of high school the expectation? Did Dad get to spend time with his newborn? Did your daughter learn that she has the right to say NO? The past was not perfect and the present is not all bad.
I think she should take the promotion. Take a year or two and train the next generation of cardio nurses. Her beloved patients need many well trained nurses not just Marcy.

I was the channel changer for my parents when I was a kid. sigh kids today don’t know the struggle. haha For years we used pliers to turn the channel after the knob broke off. Today we would have ordered a new knob or TV and had it delivered the next day!
