Whatever Walt, Skeezix and the rest of the Wallet clan are doing, I hope they’re not listening to this rudeness in their beloved Alley.

She saw him the next day when he brought food from the Diner and they had a picnic with Walt. Then he asked her to marry him, she turned him down and he left. So what happened after that? I’m sorry you’re so bored with this storyline Not Norman but some of us like it and wish you’d keep your constant kvetching to yourself.

Norman, it’s not antipathy, it’s just that you say the same thing day after day after day. It gets old after a while, especially when you realize that these strips are done weeks in advance and no amount of complaining on our part is going to change what has already been written and sent off for publication.

They live next to the railroad tracks. He hopped a freight out of town, like a real blues musician would do after being turned down like that. He’s already written two songs about it.

Wow, Norm. Personal attacks? I know you probably won’t take the advice of someone you’ve called a lying, personally repulsive, psychotic, smug and smarmy sock-puppet (and those are just recently), but you should just stay down and take the ten-count on this one. You’re going up against the one opponent you can’t defeat…. yourself.

I don’t have any problems with the story arc. Except for the fact that Walt is not getting any younger and the reason I added GA to my favorites list was the historical interest I have in this wonderful comic.

The story line is nice. But it needs a comic strip of its own. I try to imagine what would happen if Jon’s friend Liz had a friend who visited a diner and she was picked up a guy who took her to a club and we went for several weeks with no Garfield. Just a long, long, long story about some couple who have no real ties to Garfield.

    Same problem here.

Though I can say that I am reading this one, something I don’t do when I spot Rufus.

Dypak, Loved your scenario, plus I can almost hear those two songs. Sad but sweet songs.

I will pass on that, thank you. It really doesn’t matter to me. Turn that frown upside down, Normie. Life is good, or it’s what you make of it at least. See you tomorrow.

I’m also weary of this arc. I haven’t read GA in well over a week…

The video is hilarious, dypak. I love what you said about the train and songs too.

NotNorman, there’s an Internet term for you: troll.

it seems some strips have their die hard commenters ….some strip ‘groupies’ sing the strips praises and some (like Dick Tracy) LOVE to tear it down….I learned, very quickly, you dont mess with the folks at ‘for better or for worse’ they talk about those cartoon characters as if they were real people…..so , dont cross them and DONT try to tell them their characters arent real…… thats fine….Im just saying that when someone ventures onto the comment line and goes against what the consensus is, there is always a string of interesting and sometimes funny comment commenters……so , quit picking on Norman, he is producing lots of interest….you have to admit
