I too would have liked him to remain that knight in shining armor – only I had no delusions when I voted for him. He’s only a man – a very smart, capable and essentially moral man – in a convoluted and corrupt system. I assumed there would be equivocating from the get-go, regardless of who won the office. However, that doesn’t mean we don’t hold his feet to the fire. I think releasing the torture memos was a positive step even though I would like him to take a much stronger stance on wiretapping.

I can’t find any evidence that their allegations are correct. Anyone can allege anything. I can allege that Bush turned me into a newt but that I got better. Does that make it true?
Should we break out the scales to see if Bush weighs the same as a duck simply on my say so?
