Stupid? Polls show Americans favoring keeping GB open 44-40% but it’s within the margin of error. Additionally, Americans polled have been overwhelmingly opposed to torture and detention without charges for several years now.

Renege? WTF? He always said he was closing GB, and so far I see no indication he’s backing off that.

Does anybody want the residents cut loose, or worse yet somewhere in this country???

Oh, there’s some stellar logic. We’re going to keep them locked up because they might be pissed off that we’ve confined them unjustly for so many years. Frankly we should be ashamed of ourselves for so thoroughly violating one of the inviolate principles of the law. And we should be willing to face the consequences head on.

Put the poor babies in the gereral population at any prison see how well they do
