Etighe – This is not Biblevania… it is America where people are meant to be FREE! The discussion is to allow HUMAN BEINGS to marry, it has not nor will ever be about letting people molest children or animals.
I wonder how this comes into play:
Amendment 9 - Construction of Constitution. – The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
Seems to me the only Amendment that essentially curtails a liberty is the 18th, which was repealed.
I don’t think the Constitution is meant to be the receptacle of your bigotry, nor to create second class citizens.

Should we all be forced to live by your Church’s rules? Or should you be entitled to practice your religion in peace? Funny that the peaceable practice of religion was a core reason why people came to America to begin with. Their home governments persecuted them for their belief.
Liberty does not mean freedom from offense. My marriage may offend you, but it causes you no direct harm. Your church offends me, but I firmly believe in your right to practice your faith.
Give me the same opportunity to pursue Life, Liberty and Happiness that I am sure you cherish. And then go to your church and pray for my soul if you feel a need to. Or curse me if you wish, but leave me ALONE and GO AWAY.
Oh yeah…and as to your Creator….who were Adam and Eve’s grandchildren’s parents? Hrmmm…? So much for Biblical family values.

We in Florida passed an equally insidious amendment prohibiting gay marriage. The Baptist (and to a lesser extent Catholic) church was instrumental in authoring & pimping the bill. Since they thumpers have decided to so overtly stick their noses, I say we tax the church!
