Yes, and astonishingly enough Obamacare will continue to make this lobby happy because its hands are in so many of their pockets.

We are insane to trust the same people who helped make this mess to fix it.

fennec, Do you think they would even give a bleeep what our suggestions would be? The arrogance from Washington is stunning. The only way to make them sit-up and take notice is to get boisterous, such as what is happening now. Even at that I doubt that once they all get back to the cocoon inside the beltway they will remember the anger, anxiety, and passion that was so prevalent at the town halls.

This nation has lost its spiritual foundation and is wallowing in its own iniquity. There is no checks and balances on immorality and ethical rot. The only people to elect is people with the same disease, the same lack of integrity. This would be fine if we were some inconsequential country like Canada and England. But we are the leaders of the Free World and the stakes couldn’t be higher. If we resist the temptation to give these buffoons more power we should be alright.

DrC, whats with your constant condescention? If you wish to comment on American affairs from your Canadian sideline then go ahead, be a cheerleader for the leftists, but stop sneering at people who will really be directly affected by the decisions being made here. This looking down your nose at others detracts from the overall effectiveness of your opinions and makes you look like a hack.

secondson, perhaps you find DrC an irritant from you view point. The truth of the matter, that unlike what puppy want’s to pass off, the rest of the world sees things very differently and the US’s world standing has slipped greatly.

@ Secondson - fortunately or no, many people beyond the US’ borders are directly affected by decisions made in DC.

I want to thank FearfulPup for this:

“This would be fine if we were some inconsequential country like Canada and England.”

I’m just going to smile all day long thinking of how stupid a person would have to be to say that with a straight face, and mis-spell their way thru such an attitude. It’s beautiful in it’s own way, and just gives Pup and his ilk the unassailable, willful ignorance we can only watch and marvel at.

It’s made even more precious by secondson’s question to DrC about why he’s so (snicker) condescention? Please note that the misspelling is not mine.

You guys go ahead and bleat your angry bleats and leave human intellect to someone else.

Don’t forget how “tolerant” you are!

DrC, have you ever given an opinion in a debate rather than ask loaded questions? I am willing to put forth opinion. Thats why I come here, but I am aware of the tactics used to trash opposition and portray them as feckless individuals who are lead around by their nose. I will not have my words used by a sniper who sits in a high tower of condescention picking them apart for ammunition.

Humphries, I thought that electing BHO was supposed to fix all that. Being the policeman of the world is a thankless job. One that has caused the bad actors of the world to condem us for blocking their actions and intentions. I realize we are not the most popular nation on earth, but I would rather be unpopular and right than be the life of the party as we descend into a chaotic abyss. In addition I would disagree that the rest of the world sees things differently. Were that the case we would be left with no allies, conversely we have many many people who want to come here.

4uk, I realize that people beyond our boarders are effected by our decisions, especially those who boarder us. My point is that a condescend tone has a negative and counterproductive effect on the opinions injected. I would say that those who wish to comment on American affairs from beyond our boarders should try too craft an opinion that is constructive, not derisive and sneering.

Yeah, secondson, You leave your opinions. No ideas, just a dump. You accuse others of asking “loaded” questions. I think you assume it’s “loaded” if you’re questioned about anything.

Pretty funny. When people ask for your input on the topic, you snarl that they’re trying to trap you. You suffer from a paranoia based on lack of self confidence.

@ secondson: I agree, with one clarification - everyone who comments should ideally craft an opinion that is constructive, and not just an expression of their feeling of superiority.

ezdeb, If you percieve that I suffer from a lack of self confidence then fine thats your opinion, whatever. I do not need to assert myself here as being self confident. The fact that I am willing to respond to others rebutts that assertion. There are no other real ways to dispute such platitudinous accusations in words. Perhaps I may also seem paranoid to you. Thats fine as well, paranoid people have real enemies too, LOL.

How do you draw the conclusion that I assume all questions to me are loaded? How many people are asking questions of me? What seems to escape your conclusion is that I have the ability to reason, and therefore see the path that questions have layed out before me. If I decide to not answer a question because I see it as loaded does not mean that it is not loaded.

This is not an idea forum, it is an opinion forum. Do not accuse me of having no ideas when this is not the place to put them forth. Were it so I would. One thing is true about opinions, just like dump holes we all have one, and usually others think they stink.

Oh, and by the way, describing me as snarling gave me a chuckle.

Your words, 2ndson. “DrC, have you ever given an opinion in a debate rather than ask loaded questions?”

Then you post four paragraphs filled with loaded questions, about how not paranoid you are. OK!

I promise, I won’t ask you any more questions, OK? Everyone, please note that this is an opinion forum. Ideas are not necessary. Even if someone says “Hey, I have an idea!”, they’d better not put that idea forth.

I’ll bet when you chuckle, it looks like Dick Cheney’s lifted lip.

ezedeb, you have moved from the ridiclous to the patently absurd. Your attempt to paint me as being something other than who or what I am is off the wall, and shows a distinct lack of substance in your arguement.

Four paragraphs of loaded questions? Huh? The idea that the words I wrote are four paragrphs of questions is abstract to say the least.

Noteing to everyone that this is an opinion forum is like telling people there on the web, it’s obvious, they already know it and your derision of my post is telling. No real responses huh, just derision. Take my words and deride them because thats easier than having an opinion of your own.

Then to finish it off the debate is lowered to personal attacks. How pathetic.

I suspect pup was a little tongue-in-cheek due to the simple fact Canada is our #1 supplier of “imported” oil, and that a good deal also comes from Britain via the North Sea, consequential, their health care aside.

Second Guess- I would rather our nation be popular for the things we do RIGHT, than unpopular for the things we get incredibly WRONG! We’ve done the latter repeatedly in the last 25 years, and have an opportunity to turn it around.

«This nation has lost its spiritual foundation and is wallowing in its own iniquity. … But we are the leaders of the Free World and the stakes couldn’t be higher.» Not to worry, NoFearPup ; your nation is successfully leading the rest of the «Free World» - ever seen a list of the countries included in that conveniently vague category ? - along that same primrose path. Pretty soon we can expect to see those charming, bi-partisan insurance company execs taking over here in Europe as well, for which, no doubt, we shall all be eternally grateful, as our longevity expectations fall and our infant mortality rises to US (Third World) levels….
