Humph, My Mother also, except they were Ration book coupons. Great Women these Mothers, and Grandmothers.

Hey DH, know what a down side to this was! Mom once won two full retailer’s books of Green Stamps from the local Food Fair grocery store. Still can’t stand the taste of stamps. ;o)

My mom did green stamps, too. She raised five of us, who then went on to Harvard, Georgetown, Boston University, and U of Georgia, and she became an executive herself. But it was very hard on her – and still is, for that matter. The joke is that she’s just in debt on a larger scale. At one point I remember we had frozen waffles for dinner every night. Haven’t been able to eat one of those for years…

Count your blessings,……at least you had coupons and a Grocery store, and hope of better days all around you……. you should see how they raised me under a Leftist Regime….

Mach, I’m sorry I can not change the past in order for you to feel avenged, you can join the world or wallow in your self pity.
