Lucy says, "Sure you could Charlie Brown, but you have to begin planning for it NOW..."<br> <br> Charlie Brown says, "Maybe you're right , Lucy...Maybe if I begin to study now while I'm young, I CAN become president someday!"<br> <br> Lucy exclaims laughing, "YOU? This was published just as the presidential primaries were closing (June 7, 1960). That ended with John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon being chosen as the Democratic and Republican candidates respectively.
