Charlie Brown and Shermy walk up to a glum, sitting, Patty. Shermy asks,"What's wrong Patty?"<BR><BR> She replies,"You boys don't love me...you never fight over me!"<BR><BR> They start fighting and Charlie Brown says,"How's this? "What a battle!" Shermy adds,"What a struggle"<BR><BR> As they lay exhausted on the ground, she looks down at them and exclaims,"That was fine...I feel much better now!"<BR><BR>

Although the dog appears in the strip from the very beginning, I think this was the first strip in which the name “Snoopy” was used. But notice that in this early strip, Charlie Brown doesn’t even know where Snoopy lives!

Some say January 30, 1951 (only a few days before this one) was the first mention of Snoopy’s name.

Sorry to differ but the 1st mention of Snoopy’s name was Nov. 10, 1950
