This strip reminds me of one when Mike was a teen and Gordon was beat up by his dad for messing with Elly’s car. Mike realizes how fortunate he is with his parents and on arriving home, hugs Elly much like John in the last panel.

John heaps a lot of praise on Anthony, and most of it true,..but “faithful” really should not have been on that list!
