According to the news, he’ll show up but doesn’t drink.

Henry Louis Gates is not a beer drinker? So THAT’S what’s wrong with him.

I’ve always thought that was designed to be a no win debate. Why come down on one side?

think the substance of the toon touches on the substance of the debate pretty well.

Obama screwed up on this one.

Now then, what are the major issues affecting our nation?

Obama said it was stupid to arrest a man who hasn’t broken the law. How is that screwing up?

Copper, I was referring to his commenting without knowing the whole story, plus probably not thinking about all the affects of his statement.

Oh, my gosh, I love this cartoon! Kudos to Luckovich. The haunted look on the President’s face is just priceless. Very good comic.

I keep thinking, why so much emphasis, and concern over such relatively “minor” characters. Then I thought, they’re real people, so it is important to give them an audience. Then I think Sarah Palin, MJ, Paris Hilton etc, and realize the public can’t accept real people.

I hope all’s well that ends well. Now how about the important issues like the economy and health care and job creation and stuff like that.

hank, it’s good. But visually, the president in the middle is better. Other than that, it’s amazing two cartoonists had the same take. Actually, I thought I would be the only one old enough to remember that advertisement argument!

I was going to make a comment about Michael Vick as the major issue, but didn’t since I expect Mike to do a cartoon on that. And he has. Not sure if it will post here tomorrow or not
