It would have been nice if Jim had taken a break from the storyline and honored our Nation’s military veterans today on Veterans Day.
I checked the Gasoline Alley files back to 2001 – Jim did a Veterans Day strip in 2001 and 2002, skipped 2003, then did his last Veterans Day strip on Nov. 11, 2004. It was very sweet:

comic-reader said, what is more pathetic - this story line or that we are actually reading it everyday?
If you like the storyline, neither is pathetic.
If you sometimes like the strip, but not this storyline, that doesn’t seem too pathetic. You are getting rewarded sometimes, and that makes a habit tough to break.
If you never ever like the strip and still read it everyday, that just might be pathetic.
Gweedo! Watch what you’re saying! Careful how you mention color and Shoe in the same sentance. You don’t want to set Bill Tilder off again. Last time he went on for months about the color. I don’t think I can go through that twice.

But they’ve colored the inside of the grave wrong. Too many cooks!

At approximately 110 years old, I thought Walt WAS a “flesh-and-blood ghost!”

It’s either a very large grasshopper or Casper the propeller-head ghost. The suspenders is killing me.

At least Bird is finally (hopefully) out of the picture.

Anyway, I enjoy it most of the time.
