Not only Stick - my 87yo grandmother compliments me on my put-on weight, too (“oh how nice and round you are! a year ago you were so thin… cheeks all fallen in…”).
And, if poor Stick got stranded on a deserted island, she wouldn’t last a day without food before she starved to death! (Sounds like a good excuse for all the “energy reserves” I carry around with me all the time!!)
