Life does that to you sometimes.

I waited for this cool coffee maker to come in the mail. It finally arrived last week and when I brewed a pot it took 3 1/2 hours to finish. I hope Calvin has better luck!

I have been waiting just like calvin for my new laptop :(

I ordered something through the mail so long ago that I can’t remember what it was. Probably a beanie.

There’s a paycheck I’m waiting for that’s taking even longer, Calvin. I’ll buy you a beanie if and when it ever gets here.

The waiting is getting to me now, and I remember this episode.It’s sad at the end when he dies.

Calvin just came up with a new law of physics! Mass is inversely proportionate to time! Wow! And MontanaLady’s right! If his parents were observant they would buy him things through the mail every week ‘cause he IS acting better! OK, so he doesn’t pay attention in school, but when did he ever?

I am becoming very curious as to what the beanie will look like…

Poindexter - I think that you mean that mass is factorially or exponentially proportional to time. If it was inversely proportional, the greater the mass, the less the time. Or maybe you meant that the beanie is terribly light…

In any event, if mass were exponentially proportional to time, a small increase in mass would create a much greater increase in time.

Cereal Company: “…OK; we just added another 2 ounces of packing material for the beanie. That’ll cost another month!…”

Susan - They probably heard of them but don’t want to pay the extra $$ to ship out free beanies. The beanies were just a ploy to get kids to snarf down even more cereal and, hence, boost sales. The cereal company wants to make as much profit as possible.

Calvin is learning a lesson in consumer confidence and there will be more to learn before this is over.

The address he sent the boxtops to was really Roz’s house and the beanie comes with a catch 22. Uh oh!!

You early birds forget what it is like waiting for a tax return check . You remember that free money the govt sends you if you paid too much early in the year . The money you spend 5 times before its in your mail box

Thank you treBsdrawkcaB. That is more logical. I still hadn’t had my 3rd cup of coffee when I wrote that. I think I would actually need to insert ‘happiness’ as a variable into the equation to make some sense out of it. Have a great evening and here’s hoping that the beanie finally arrives tomorrow!

If my taxes come out more than a couple of hundred dollars owed or to be refunded, I figure I haven’t done a good job keeping my finances under control during the year.
