This has been going on for over a year and it is finally getting national attention. These are scam artists who should be put out of business. I’ve got over two dozen of these robocalls by the same company even though I’m on the Do Not Call list. How about you others. Any suggestion about what to do?

Just hang up. If they can’t even say what kind of car you have, they’re obviously not legitimate.

    Tract:

You might try your state’s Attorney General, or consumer affairs dept.

In Indiana the state AG handles these.

Thanks for the advice. Hanging up does not prevent them from calling again. I am also on the do not call list. I don’t have a cell phone but cell phone users are being charged minutes. I read an article today that the FTC is starting an investigation. There have been over 300,000 inquiries and 4,000 complaints to the BBB. Sens. Schumer and Warner are also calling for an investigation.
