In your dreams Gorrell. Gen. Petreaus has come out against Gitmo. Says we will be safer without it.

McCain said he would close Gitmo too, a fact that gets overlooked by most, including media

Obama will close Gitmo. After all, he has the support of all the senate democrats (or maybe not).

The perfect solution is closing the prison and opening a new prison in the same location with a different name. What about calling it the “Overseas Contingency” facility?

gbrucewilson: We already have available prisons. Why do you want to spend more money?

ANandy, just a question. If McCain had won the election and was now in the process of closing Gitmo (as he promised), what would you have said? And what would you have called him, “The inept McCan’t?”

So, when we close CAMP X-RAY - the high security detention facility on the base, does that mean the whole GITMO base gets closed? Oops, no, that base will stay open as long as this nation exists I guarantee that.

But don’t worry, there will be enough money freed up from closing camp X-ray for another left-wing stimulus package! Maybe even tack on another 9,000 earmarks!

There are two problems that come to mind immediately about transferring Gitmo prisoners to the US.

    A) Any federal judge can rule evidence not strong enough and free them right back into the community

    B) while in Federal US prisons they will have access to all the other prisoners and may (as already has been done) convert them to potential terrorists.

cdward, if McCain had won the election and moved to close Gitmo, the ‘666’ guy would need to call Pres. McCain the “inept McBozo” to stay consistent
