Oh come on! What kind of a craft fair was this? The craft fairs I’ve been to had booths full of carved wooden bookends, cedar chests, and coffee tables with different wood inlaid in the surface - all hand-made in someone’s shop. So how is woodworking a girly thing?

Shopping of any sort that doesn’t involve bragging about the cool deal you got or the outstanding features / attributes of your purchase is a girl thing, I suppose… also note, most men wouldn’t refer to shopping as shopping, even if that’s what it really is…

Ej, cuz we do needlepoint, afghans, and dolls.

I’ve been trying to get my hubs into wood burning as a hobby so he’ll enjoy going to Michael’s with me. As it is, he drops me off at the door and runs next door to the CompUsa.

Librarian—That’s me when I take my lady shopping!! LOL

Why should he hate a crafts fair? There are masculine crafts as well as feminine ones. If Jon enjoyed it maybe he felt like taking up a hobby and that would be a good thing. You can’t spend your entire life feeding your cat even if your cat is Garfield.

Men hunt. Women gather. If we are going to the crafts fair to hunt for something then that’s fine. If we’re going there to gather stuff well that’s not so much fun for the guys.

Jon needs to take a page from Garfield’s lesson book and learn to relax.

When caught getting in touch with one’s un-manly side, it is appropriate to do something manly. Good suggestion, Garfield. You might also need to “burp from both ends” to clear this one up.

I feel that a car auction and/or show is in order Jon! Scratch, belch and drink beer through the entire afternoon. Let’s see how fast Liz bolts from there.

Above we have got kids called ‘Dakota’ and ‘Burgandy’. Where do you yanks stop with all this prissy crap. No wonder you could not kick Vietnam in the arse! Bunch of pansies! And you have to dress up in armour to play a game of ball! Watch Rugby League and see real men playing a real game!
