If the media was impartial like they pretend to be, and should be, they would ridicule him mercilessly for his gaffes like they did Bush or Quayle, calling him a dunce, uneducated, ignorant, etc. Instead, they just ignore it.
I’m unfamiliar with this “tank” to which you refer. Is it the “drunk tank” that President Bush was in when he was AWOL from the National Guard for a year?

Or maybe it’s the “dunk tank” at the carnival. You know, the dunking that we’re all taking right now with this corporate bailout because the Republicans are not all that fiscally responsible.
Conservative cartoonist criticizes Biden for making harmless errors while campaigning. At least he does not lie deliberately. He said FDR went on television to announce the New Deal
Quayle: Potato has an ‘e’ = huge national media attention.
Biden: President Roosevelt appeared on a medium that wasn’t yet in use in a year when he wasn’t yet president = [crickets chirping].
Both were harmless mistakes, one was blown out of proportion.
Biden: Assistant Secretary of State went to Tehran on Bush’s orders, sat down with Iranian diplomats to negotiate in direct conflict with stated Bush policy = How many even know he said that? How many media outlets are correcting him?
That one’s still probably not a deliberate lie, but it should certainly get more attention than Potatoegate.
Dan that’s true. Bush has refused to talk to our enemies and then they finally sent someone to talk after it was obvious to everyone else that Iran has become a major player in the region (thanks to W).
He sent someone to Switzerland, not Tehran. It wasn’t the asst. Secretary of State. He sat in on multinational discussions, and had no role in negotiations. What Biden said happened, didn’t happen.

“they would ridicule him mercilessly for his gaffes”
Why would they do that? They’re in the tank for him and Obama.

Seems as it politics as usual, non issues in raging debate.
