Well, we know that more than 100 students have said they feel unsafe. But getting the basic facts seems to be difficult. How many have been attacked? How many have been injured? This is getting more hype than mass shootings. And let’s face it, we all know that we can get gunned down almost anywhere we go. As of the beginning of this month, 208 have been killed so far this year. Admittedly, we have no standard definition and none of the recent shootings were random, but 2023 showed another increase. So, how many students have been injured? How bad is it. This is not to make light of it, and I believe the students have good reason to feel unsafe. But does it match the hype? Amongst conservative cartoonists and responding commenters, you get the impression of a high casualty rate.
Our Jewish friends know that one party is actively protesting against them, and one party is defending them. I don’t need to specify which is which. They know. See you at the polls Nov 5th.
